Josh Reeves, director of Samford University’s Center for Science and Religion, has been appointed associate co-editor for Theology at Christian Scholar’s Review (CSR). He joins Karin Stetina, professor of biblical and theological studies at Biola University, in leading the journal’s theology section.

Reeves has served on Samford’s faculty and in administrative roles for 11 years. He is the author or co-author of three books and co-editor of the forthcoming volume The Christian Intellectual Tradition from the Reformation to the Modern Era. His scholarship explores the intersection of science, theology and faith-based education.

“It’s an honor to contribute to CSR, a journal I’ve long admired as the leading forum for Christians across the disciplines,” Reeves said. “I’m also deeply grateful to Samford for its unwavering support of my work and its broader commitment to integrating faith and learning.”

Margaret Diddams, editor of Christian Scholar’s Review, welcomed Reeves to the editorial team, citing his expertise and interdisciplinary perspective.

“We are delighted to have Professor Reeves join us on the editorial board,” Diddams said in a news release. “His exemplary theology background will complement the expertise of others on our board. Writing at the intersection of Christian faith with other academic areas is a challenging scholarly endeavor, and I look forward to Professor Reeves working with our authors to bring pieces to publication.”

Reeves will transition into the position during the fall semester and assume full responsibilities in January 2026.

With support from 50 sponsoring institutions, Christian Scholar’s Review publishes peer-reviewed scholarship that integrates faith and learning across academic disciplines. The journal, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021, distributes 5,000 print issues quarterly and reaches approximately 14,000 scholars through its digital and print platforms.
