MME Pathways
This program consists of two pathways:
Traditional MME Pathway
Designed for students who already hold music teacher licensure and wish to deepen their expertise, strengthen classroom practice and pursue advanced professional opportunities.
Initial Licensure Pathway
Designed for students who hold an undergraduate music degree but have not yet earned teacher certification and desire to become licensed music educators.

The Master of Music Education equips students with the musical expertise, pedagogical knowledge and professional skills necessary to make a lasting impact in music education. Students completing Initial Licensure are prepared to pursue K-12 music teacher certification for public school teaching.
