Vicki Rochester joined the faculty in the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing in 2005. Prior to coming to Samford, she worked for fourteen years as a staff RN and OB/GYN Nurse Specialist at St. Vincent’s Birmingham. She had a passion for training new graduates as a staff RN which led her to teaching at Samford. Vicki taught in the undergraduate program from 2005 -2015 before moving to the graduate program. “I am so thankful for those that have mentored me as a nurse and as a nurse educator. It truly has been a blessing to work at Samford with such dedicated students and colleagues.” She believes that nursing is a calling and holds Matthew 10:8 as her life verse, “Freely we have received, freely we give.”
