Elevate Your Career, Innovate Health Care Delivery, Transform Patient Care

Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing’s online Nursing Informatics and Analytics program prepares nurses for roles in health care and nursing leadership. Graduates earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) and are prepared with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed at the highest levels of nursing practice and administration.

Nursing Informatics and Analytics prepares you to:

  • Lead robust system implementation and optimization of information technology
  • Use Big Data analytics to drive innovation in care delivery and decision support
  • Serve as an expert in fiscal management and strategic planning
  • Use evidence based practice to lead and sustain system change

Potential career paths include chief nursing informatics officer, clinical analyst, consultant, director of clinical analytics, nursing informatics specialist and telehealth.

The D. N. P. is a terminal degree and graduates are prepared with the educational requirements necessary to sit for select national certification exams. The program’s unique plan of study is interprofessional and integrates courses from programs throughout Samford’s College of Health Sciences, including nursing, health care administration, informatics, and public health.

Entrance into a program of study is based on educational preparation, admission requirements and criteria. There are multiple pathways to earning your D.N.P. in Nursing Administration.
