The spring 2021 issue of Samford’s award-winning, student-produced magazine The Local has launched! Print issues are available on campus and around Homewood, Vestavia Hills and Birmingham. View the digital magazine here.

The Local earned First Place in Southeast Journalism Conference (SEJC) competition in March, and many of the magazine's staff earned SEJC awards for their individual contributions. Professor Clay Carey was separately honored for his advising of the publication.
