Founded in 1927, the McWhorter School of Pharmacy has built a century-long legacy of excellence in pharmacy education, service and leadership.
What began as the Howard College Department of Pharmacy has grown into a nationally recognized school, educating generations of pharmacists who have served patients, communities and the profession. Today, as part of Samford University’s College of Health Sciences, McWhorter continues that tradition while preparing the next generation of pharmacists to shape the future of health care.
As we celebrate 100 years, we honor the people and milestones that built this legacy and look ahead to the next century with the same spirit of excellence and service that has defined McWhorter from the beginning.
