Continuing Education: Consultant Pharmacist Program

For pharmacists working in the long-term care (LTC) environment, a foundational understanding of federal guidelines regarding resident care is imperative. The purpose of this activity is to overview important aspects of LTC pharmacy regulation in order to improve the level of care for older adults. This program has been approved for eight Consultant CE hours and Consulting Certification by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP).

The purpose of this activity is to review general medication safety concepts and then provide pharmacy technicians with tools and resources to identify potentially dangerous situations, alert other pharmacy personnel, and develop and implement solutions to optimize medication outcomes.
