APhA’s Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certificate training program is based on national educational standards for immunization training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
In order to serve as a preceptor of pharmacy interns/externs, a pharmacist must be duly licensed and meet requirements as established by the state board of pharmacy. The requirements necessitated by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) includes specialized training and continual education on best practices for pharmacy preceptors.
