Prospective students interested in Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy are invited to an open house event in January where they can tour the facilities, meet faculty and learn more about its prepharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy programs.
In order to serve as a preceptor of pharmacy interns/externs, a pharmacist must be duly licensed and meet requirements as established by the state board of pharmacy. The requirements necessitated by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) includes specialized training and continual education on best practices for pharmacy preceptors.
McWhorter School of Pharmacy invites all alumni, students, faculty and staff to "Samford Pharmacy Night" with Samford Basketball. We will serve dinner in the Pete Hanna Center at 5:30 p.m., and the game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. We hope you and your family will join us for this beloved McWhorter School of Pharmacy tradition.
