Applicants who have not earned a bachelor’s degree may use a math/science prerequisite if that course work was completed within five years of the submission of the pharmacy application.

Entering with a Bachelor Degree
4 + 4 years

If a student is planning to or already has earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college of university, he or she should be aware of the prerequisites required for admission. With the exception of math, science and public speaking, all other prerequisites are waived if the applicant has completed a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science—or the degree will be completed prior to starting classes at McWhorter School of Pharmacy.

Samford awards all second-year Doctor of Pharmacy students a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy studies, enabling them to pursue additional degrees, including a dual degree as a part of McWhorter School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy program.
