Eligibility
- Age 18 to 28 – must be 18 by the state competition and no older than 27 by the date of the Miss Alabama Competition the last week of June.
- United States citizen
- Female
- Single
- No legal dependents
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Samford University
- Clear of any conduct or judicial violations at Samford University

If you have any questions or need help completing the paperwork, please contact Lori. The paperwork is intended to be straightforward and uncomplicated—we do not want paperwork to be a deterrent to your participation.

E-mail the following documents to jhunt5@samford.edu. Save each document as a PDF, and name it in the format YourName_DocumentName (i.e. LoriHunt_MissSamfordPledge.pdf, LoriHunt_TalentMusic.mp3, LoriHunt_Headshot.jpg).

- Community Service Initiative Essay (1 page)
- Birth Certificate (copy)
- Proof of Samford Enrollment
- Talent Introduction (1 or 2 sentences)
- Talent Music (MP3 or MP4 format)
- 5x7 Headshot (does not need to be professional)
Bring the necessary documentation with you to the competition as outlined in the Miss America Contract sections 2.3.2 (bring your original certified birth certificate), 2.3.4, and 2.3.5.1.
There is no entry fee to compete in Miss Samford. However, all delegates must register with the Miss America Organization and create a spot fund account. Each delegate will need to raise $30 for the “Go Red” Campaign for the American Heart Association (Note: leave the “Contestant Title” line blank).
Contestant order will be based on when applications are received with the first applicant going last in the competition and the last applicant going first.

- Health and Fitness: fitness apparel as described in fitness competition description
- Talent: Talent Outfit of choice

- Heels and accessories to match all outfits
