Wheat graduated from Samford University in April of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Worship. He served in the Media Center for his entire college career as a student and is excited to have the opportunity to continue in this department. Wheat oversees the broadcast control room and TV studio for the Division of Marketing and Advancement and is responsible for non-sports livestream and broadcast production. Wheat holds several certifications in Dante networking and live production.

In addition to contributing to Samford's first 4K HDR livestream production of Step Sing 2022, Wheat's industry experience extends across religious and secular production, both for stationary and touring companies.

Outside of work, Wheat enjoys exploring new coffee shops and watching movies in Birmingham with his partner and fellow Samford graduate, Sofia Paglioni.
