A Pittsburgh native (and devoted Steelers fan), Joe Zellner has worked in numerous capacities at Samford University since 2003, all of which involve the integration of technology in the teaching and learning process. He currently serves as an Instructional Designer and media specialist with the Faculty Success Center, providing training and assistance to faculty in the creation and execution of high quality online and hybrid courses.

In his spare time, Joe is continuously involved with the Birmingham arts community, most notably having designed and executed live sound for over 100 musical theatre productions. An award-winning photographer and film maker, Joe also keeps his "left brain" happy through his genealogy hobby, having assembled a database of 90,000+ ancestors and cousins over the past 25 years. As one of eight children, he had a nice head start.
