Students,

Room and Board Refund Update

Samford is committed to issuing credits/refunds for unused portions of spring 2020 room and board charges.  While some within the Samford community are anxious for additional information, our timeline for announcing our plans has been delayed for the moment while we seek additional guidance and understanding concerning the related implications of the CARES Act, recently passed by Congress and signed by the President.  We are working diligently to obtain the answers to our questions, and we are confident we will soon able to provide a detailed plan of action. In the meantime, we want to address a few questions related to payment plans and student accounts.

Payment Plan and Payment Due Date Update

The fifth of every month is the payment due date for all students and the payment due date for those enrolled in a Samford payment plan. Due to the unique nature of COVID-19 circumstances that are affecting all of us, we are not requiring those payments this month.  Anyone who chooses to not make a payment this month will have their late fee waived.  Anyone who has made or will make a payment this month, we are grateful for you doing so.

We are working to have room and board credits/refunds finalized before the May 5 payment due date.  This should allow time for all plan participants and others to make arrangements.

If you have further questions regarding payments, we encourage you to reach out the Samford One Stop at OneStop@samford.edu.  For other questions, please consult the Samford Coronavirus webpage.
