Through a twist of events too difficult to share within this short space, one of our students in the McWhorter School of Pharmacy (MSOP), along with his wife, recently assumed guardianship of two little boys, ages four and six.  In an outpouring of support that brings tears to my eyes, the students, faculty, and staff of MSOP have donated bunk beds, books, toys, clothing, gift cards and cash--all the items necessary for providing a supportive environment for an instant family.  In addition, members of the MSOP faculty and staff have established a fund to defray expenses for caring for the boys before and after school each day.  Seeing a need, our people resolved to meet it.

The world is better because of Samford's "service to God, to family, to one another, and to the community."
