Last month, in the room where Christopher Columbus asked Queen Isabella for support, Samford students participated in the closing ceremony for a Model United Nations simulation,hosted by the University of Salamanca.  During the conference, every member of the Samford team received personal awards.  Serena Simoni,Samford political science faculty member and advisor for the group, said that the conference organizers noted that the Samford team was "the most well-prepared by far."
