What types of things did you work on in your internship?

I was a research assistant for the professors at the center. I helped prepare materials for their classes, which are attended by government and military officials from across Latin America. I also conducted research about a wide variety of topics related to U.S foreign Policy and National Security to help the professors with their lectures and research projects.

What was your favorite part of the experience and/or what recommendations you have for future interns?

I really enjoyed my internship. It was my favorite part of my summer in D.C. I would recommend that anyone interning in D.C. take full advantage of the expertise and connections of those working at your site. They can teach you at lot and are usually willing to share.
