Brooke Stewart serves as the Director of Student Leadership in Student Affairs. As a Samford graduate and former student leader, Brooke is responsible for developing and overseeing Samford's faith-based student leadership programming and initiatives. She directs school-wide leadership initiatives including LEADSamford and the EXCEL Leadership Certificate Program which are designed to equip students in developing essential leadership skills. Additionally, Brooke advises all branches of the Student Government Association, class officers, and other student leaders. She focuses on student development through theory-based advising, education, and experiential learning at Samford.

She teaches leadership courses and focuses her research on leadership and student development. Brooke works to provide meaningful opportunities for student engagement and to build leadership capacity among students. Brooke understands that leadership is not just a position but a deeper calling to inspire and motivate others in service and believes all students can be leaders. Brooke loves working individually and collectively with students to reach their fullest leadership potential.

Brooke earned a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Leadership and Management from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Samford University with a B.S. in Public Administration and from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a master's degree in Higher Education Administration. She has over 20 years of education administration experience.
