Being a Connections Coordinator is like coming full circle. It really doesn't seem like that long ago when I was going through Connections weekend myself. I was nervous, probably acting extremely awkward, and looking back, coming to school after letting my hair grow out all summer wasn't the best decision in the world. Now though, I have the honor of helping plan this year's Connections Weekend. My goal as a Connections Coordinator, is to create an experience that every new student can gain something from. Whether that's a new friend, a role model in their Connections Leader, knowledge of how to best get involved on campus, or even simply knowing which buildings their classes are in, I want Connections 2016 to beneficial to all who participate. Thankfully, even though there were awkward moments, I walked away with all of these things after my time during Connections weekend, and I want to do my best to help others have that as well.
