As a freshman, Rebecca has been involved in many different campus organizations including Freshman Forum, the International Club, and Alpha Lambda Delta, the freshman honor society. In addition, Rebecca has joined Samford’s Crew (rowing) team and plays on the flag football and basketball intramural teams. She has been involved in several cadres—one as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and another for gospel outreach on campus through the combination of henna tattoos and Bible stories. For Step Sing 2017, Rebecca sang and danced as an ice cream truck driver for Ignite (Independent & Greek ladies). She is also an Ambassador for Samford’s Quality Enhancement Plan. Rebecca regularly attends Campus Outreach, through which she will be spending 2 months of her summer in Panama City Beach, FL on “Summer Beach Project” being discipled, living in Biblical community, working a full-time job, sharing the gospel with co-workers, and having fun at the beach. Off-campus, she currently works part-time at Steel City Pops, attends and leads a small group at The Church at Brook Hills, and every-so-often signs up to run a race around Birmingham or beyond. After graduating, Rebecca plans to either attend grad school for Nutrition and work as a dietician or attend law school in order to become a judge.
