In addition to her major in History, Holly is also working towards a minor in Western Intellectual Tradition. Holly is the co-chair of the University Fellows Leadership Council, a peer mentor for the Howard Scholars Program, the president of Samford’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter, and a director for Spectrum, Samford’s only co-ed StepSing group. During her time at Samford, Holly has worked for STORI, an oral history recording program. Holly has presented her research at several conferences and had a research paper accepted for publication in an academic journal during the fall of 2019. This year, Holly was the first place recipient of the 2019 Colonial Dames American Independence Award. After graduation, Holly hopes to earn her doctorate in American Intellectual History and become a professor.
