Prior to coming to Samford, Mackenzie attended J.L. Mann High School, where she was a National Honors Society member, National Beta club member, FCA leader, AP scholar, and AP Capstone Recipient. Additionally, she was the team captain for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association team at Top Call Farm and also participated in individual BRHJA shows. She enjoyed volunteering regularly with the children’s ministry at her local church and she also helped lead the church’s middle school bible study. While at Samford, she plans to study Neuroscience and Biology on the Pre-Med track in hopes of going to Medical School after graduation. Her current professional goal is to work in Emergency Medicine, but she is eager to see what these next four years will hold
