Mahala is a Senior from Murfreesboro, Tennessee studying Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Intercultural Engagement. Samford has thoroughly equipped and encouraged her to find her passion for missions, and she hopes to work in ministry whether that be in Birmingham or overseas utilizing her experience in public relations. On campus, Mahala has found a special community working for the Office of Spiritual Life and participating in Greek Life. Off campus, she is a Young Life leader, involved in her college ministry, and serves with an international ministry. In her free time, you can find Mahala on the pickleball court, playing sand volleyball, grabbing Red Mountain Expresso, or having a game night with friends! Mahala can confidently testify toward the personal, academic, and spiritual growth that is found at Samford. She cannot wait to see the incoming class experience how much this community values them and pushes them to be their best self!
