A. G. Gaston Scholarship Endowment Fund
In memory of Dr. A. G. Gaston, this scholarship is awarded to African-American undergraduate students from Jefferson County or the city of Birmingham and is based on academic achievement.
A. G. Gaston Scholarship in Law
In memory of Dr. A. G. Gaston, this scholarship is awarded to second or third year minority law students who demonstrate financial need and academic achievement.
Caitlin Creed Scholarship
Established in 2007 by gifts from family and friends in memory of Caitlin Creed. This Legacy League scholarship is awarded to underrepresented students, preferably African-American, with demonstrated financial need.
Jewel Littleton-Williams Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor Jewel Littleton-Williams as an outstanding alumna. Scholarships are awarded to minority students who demonstrate significant financial need and are pursuing any degree offered within Orlean Beeson School of Education.
Minority Bridge Fund
Initially established with gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university, this fund provides financial assistance for minority students whose current financial aid is inadequate to cover the full academic costs of a semester at Samford.
Minority Student Endowed/Annual Scholarship
Awards from this fund are provided to minority students with demonstrated financial need who have maintained a minimum acceptable academic grade point average.
Rev. John T. Porter Minority Scholarship
Originally established in 2003, and named to honor the memory of Samford Trustee Rev. John Porter, the scholarship is awarded to minority students with demonstrated financial need.
Robert & Camelia Holmes Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a business major who demonstrates academic promise and financial need with preference given to a minority student and a resident of Jefferson County, Alabama.
Samford University Board of Overseers Minority Scholarship
Established in 2016 by members of the Samford Board of Overseers, this fund exists to support scholarships that are awarded to exceptional minority students who demonstrate a financial need.
Thornton Family Scholarship
Established in memory and honor of Col. and Mrs. Clark O. Thornton, scholarships are awarded to a minority student with demonstrated need.
