Constellation Shootout Competition
March 21, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Compete against David Weigel, our director, in an interactive contest: Constellation Shootout! Bring all your space knowledge (or just come to watch). Contestants (open to anyone in the audience) will take turns picking out something visible in the night sky on the planetarium dome (inside) such as constellations, stars, asterisms, deep sky objects (if visible to the naked eye). Each contestant gets 15 sec per round and a correct answer takes you into the next round. Last contestant standing wins! Bring a red laser pointer if you have one, no need to register in advance, but do practice (and feel free to tell us if you are planning to attend). T-shirt prizes and bragging rights to the winner! The event is family friendly and admission is free, with first come, first served seating. Pending contest duration, a short planetarium presentation might be given at the end of the competition.
