Eleanor joined Samford University this month as Development Officer for the College of Health Sciences.  She spent 17 years as a certified STOTT® Pilates instructor with a specialty track in Athletic Conditioning.  For the last eight years, she has owned and operated her own business, Pilates Mountain Brook.  Her previous career in development includes serving as Director of Development for the College of Education at The University of Alabama, as well as the Advancement Director for Tuscaloosa Academy. 

She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in English and Political Science from The University of Alabama in 2001 and received an MA in Advertising and Public Relation in 2002, also from The University of Alabama. 

Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Eleanor and her family have lived in Birmingham for 13 years.  They are active members of The Cathedral Church of the Advent, here in Birmingham.

Eleanor’s combined experience of cultivating new donors and clients within both the higher education and local communities have invigorated Eleanor and her passion to support the mission of the College of Health Sciences and Samford University alike.
