Staff Sergeant Jesse W. Brock serves as the Officer Accessions Instructor for Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 012 at Samford University and its cross-town partner institutions. In this role, he oversees a broad range of accession and cadet management responsibilities, including onboarding new cadets, coordinating medical qualification requirements as the DoDMERB liaison, managing official travel, serving as a trusted agent, and providing administrative and legal oversight. Most importantly, he mentors and develops future Air Force officers by instilling the values, standards, and expectations of the enlisted force while preparing cadets for successful military careers. In addition to his administrative and mentorship duties, SSgt Brock serves as an academic instructor for Aerospace Studies 100 and 200-level courses. He delivers instruction on foundational leadership concepts, including followership, resiliency, Air Force core values, leadership competencies, and professional development, helping shape cadets into capable and ethical future leaders.

SSgt Brock enlisted into Security Forces in 2021. Upon graduating from technical training, he was assigned to F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, where he served in multiple positions within the Air Force Global Strike Command enterprise, including Arming and Use of Force, Security Manager, and Flight Security Controller. During his assignment, he provided leadership and oversight that enhanced the readiness, reliability, and mission effectiveness of more than 250 Airmen.
