Martin Blankenship joined Samford University in December 2025 providing 25+ years of business education experience to the Career Development Center. Prior to joining the Samford team, Martin worked in secondary education where he taught courses in Marketing, Accounting, Business & Personal Finance, Business Law, Multimedia, and Wokrforce Readiness, among others. He also oversaw the Cooperative Education Program, cultivating relationships with employers and overseeing student internships. Martin earned a Master of Education and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Auburn University. In the Career Development Center, Martin is eager to assist students in their career journeys, honing their business etiquette, guiding the Career Ambassadors, and serving as the CDC liaison to the Teacher Education Fair. Off campus, Martin enjoys spending his free time with his wife Jacqueline and children Jackson and Kindall.
