Dora Ditchfield joined Samford in February 2016 and brings multiple years’ experience in both career development and corporate recruiting. She served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala after college and then recruited for Synovus Financial Corps and TSYS, where she oversaw the college recruiting program and hired for the IT and international divisions.

In 2001 Dora moved into higher education, working in Career Development at her alma mater, Berry College, and at the University of North Georgia. Dora leads the Career Development Center at Samford, including strategic planning, collaborating with departments and academic programs throughout the university, and working with students, employers, and other constituents. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology with a journalism minor, and she holds an MA in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University in Indiana.
