Alison Ingle joined Samford University in February 2024 as a marketing and communications manager in the College of Health Sciences. She serves as the Division of Marketing and Communication's primary liaison to the McWhorter School of Pharmacy and the School of Public Health.

Alison is a graduate of Auburn University Montgomery with two decades of experience leading internal and external communications, including integrated marketing strategies, website development, graphic design, social media, copywriting, media relations, event planning and branding.

Before joining Samford, Alison spent nine years as the director of communications for the Alabama Restaurant and Hospitality Association, managing media relations, email marketing, publications, social media, membership initiatives, event promotions and other projects. She played a vital role in leading the Association's communication efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, in which she oversaw media relations during a highly challenging time for the industry and helped implement several relief and advocacy projects.

Formerly, Alison served as communications manager for the Alabama Housing Finance Authority for eight years and was responsible for promoting single-family housing mortgage programs and other affordable housing initiatives. Her team was honored with a Silver Addy award from the American Advertising Federation for the website AHFA.com. In addition, she was invited to speak as a panelist for the National Council of State Housing Agencies on the topic of website development and content management systems.

She worked with the Alabama State Attorney General's Office early in her career to develop the "Your Good Name Gone Bad" campaign to target online identity theft. Alison designed the statewide campaign materials, which received top honors from the Public Relations Council of Alabama.

Alison is also passionate about photography. In 2014, she became a certified professional photographer through the Auburn University Montgomery continued education program.

She previously served as President of the Young Montgomerians Business Club and on the board of the Montgomery chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama. Alison resides in Alabaster with her husband, Todd, and two daughters, Autumn and Bryn.
