Miles has more than 30 years of experience in all marketing and advertising distribution channels, from digital to broadcast and print.

Before coming to Samford, Miles spent over 20 years at Birmingham-based advertising agency Luckie & Company. While at Luckie, he worked on a range of local, regional, and national accounts including Little Debbie, AT&T, Regions Bank, and the Alabama Tourism Department.

During his tenure at Luckie, he worked with the Alabama Tourism Department as creative director for the U.S. Civil Rights Trail. This work won him a national Addy® award and a gold International Travel & Tourism Award for “Best Regional Destination Campaign,” a first for a U.S. state tourism agency in the award’s multi-year history. 

Before Luckie, he worked at a couple of local advertising agencies on a wide range of local and regional accounts including National Bank of Commerce, Porter Capital Financial, Pursell Industries, U.S. Pipe, United Cerebral Palsy, Baptist Medical Systems, MedJetAssist, Papa John's, and Gateway Family and Child Services. Miles started his career at HealthSouth Corporation.

Miles graduated from Auburn University with a degree in design and advertising. He was born and raised in Homewood where he lives with his wife, Amy, sons Murphy and Sam, and Maxine, the family’s beloved Terrier-Daschund mix.
