Hometown: Birmingham, AlabamaMichael is an ambassador of the Howard College of Arts and Sciences. He has held the position of Bass 2 Section Leader in the A Cappella Choir and participated in Step Sing in the group Dudes A Plenty the past two years. He has also been a member of an extra-curricular semi-professional choir which traveled to Germany, Austria, and Italy in July 2016. A few years ago, Michael traveled with the A Cappella Choir to Austria, Hungary, and France. He competed with them again in May 2016 on their tour to Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, where they were awarded first place in an international choral competition. Michael is also the leader of the Mercy Servant Team for Samford’s Reformed University Fellowship, in addition to being a group leader for Samford Gives Back 2016. In his first semester, he worked as a student assistant in the Samford Library, and for the past two years he has worked as part-time staff at Fixed Point Foundation, where he is responsible for media reproduction and shipping. He is also on the music staff of the Birmingham Boys Choir, where he teaches Music Theory and assists with rehearsals. Michael was selected as a participant in the Fixed Point Summer Institute in Labastide, France for the past two summers and is now a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society.
