Heath, who is an Eagle Scout, is involved on and off campus. Off campus he is highly involved in Mountain Brook Community Church's college ministry. In addition, Heath loves hobbies such as wood working, hiking, and translating the New Testament from Greek. During his freshman year, he co-organized and led a service project with the biology department to remove invasive species of plants in an effort to restore the natural habitats at Red Mountain Park. On campus he served as an SGA Senator and resided on the Finance Committee of the senate. He also learned many leadership skills through his experience on the Freshman Forum. Recently, Heath has been appointed as the Secretary of the SGA Senate. Heath is a member of the University Fellows Recruitment Council and competes on the Samford Crew Team. During his freshman year at Samford, he has been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society and the Beta Beta Beta biology honor society. Every semester Heath has been named to the Dean's List. After college Heath hopes to become a dentist and volunteer as a scoutmaster.
