Fellow Employees… I want to share with you, below, a recent communication with students regarding two matters: 1) optional free pre-departure testing for those who may be at home or where an at-risk person also resides; and 2) pickup times for a free PCR test kit required for re-entry to campus after January 1, 2021. We will also be providing both of these free services for employees. As for students, detailed instructions will follow very soon but first, we need your help with some information.
Optional pre-departure testing for employees only will commence on Monday. To assist us with understanding the interest in pre-departure testing so that we may plan effectively, we need your help and a few minutes of your time.
Pre-departure testing will be a two-step process:
- First, click on the following link to indicate your interest in testing and preference for the day to be tested. Be sure to complete all the requested information. If you are interested in departure testing, please complete the survey before the end of day on Thursday by clicking on this EMPLOYEE LINK.
- With this information, we will know how best to schedule and staff testing. You will receive a follow-on scheduling email with details of the test schedule registration. It will include another link to actually schedule a test.
- Second, when you receive (likely no later than Friday) the follow-on scheduling email, you will need to click on the included link to actually schedule a test. This will be a rapid antigen test with the new Abbott BinaxNOW Card.
It’s all easier than it sounds but knowing the demand will greatly assist us with providing this service for you. Thanks for your help.
PCR tests will be required for Spring 2021 return to campus. We all did this in August and we will do it again. The process for picking up your PCR test kit will be similar to the student process which you can read about below. Most likely, employee test kit pickup will occur the week after Thanksgiving. Details for the employee test kit pickup will follow next week. I just wanted to afford you a heads-up for this as well.
I want to commend you ALL for the extraordinary work you have done this semester. Your hard work and the grace with which you have performed it has led us to this point, just a few days until the semester ends. Thank you and take care. Best… Buck
