The Faculty Success Center, in concert with the Faith and Learning Initiative and the Taskforce to Enhance General Education, is pleased to announce the inaugural Faith and Learning Summit on Monday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in CHS Building 1, Room 1409. The Summit aligns with goals listed within the new university strategic plan associated with “academic distinction”.
The Summit will consist of a half-day of programming including worship, a keynote session and lunch. We are also pleased that Dr. Taylor will join us and offer brief comments at the lunch. The Summit is open to all Samford faculty members.
Our featured speaker is Richard Beck, PhD of Abilene Christian University. A group of Samford faculty had the good fortune to hear Dr. Beck speak at Abilene Christian’s Best Practices in Christian Higher Education conference last year. We are very excited that a larger group of Samford faculty members have an opportunity to hear his thought-provoking messages about Christian higher education and how we can live into our mission.
