Mini Conference Reboot: What if students could practice gathering requirements from a difficult client, questioning a patient, consulting a business stakeholder, or interviewing a community member before entering professional practice? In this session, we explore how AI-powered simulations can transform assignments into interactive learning experiences. We will share our experience replacing transcripts and fixed case materials with conversational AI agents that serve as interviewable clients and stakeholders. By engaging in realistic dialogue, students must identify missing information, ask better questions, test assumptions, and justify their design decisions in real time. Join us as we discuss how AI-based simulations can support authentic learning wherever students create processes, systems, policies, recommendations, or other artifacts that depend on understanding stakeholder needs.
