Dr. Dennis L. Sansom, chair of religion and philosophy at Samford University, has been named to a five-year appointment on the ethics commission of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). The group studies position papers concerning contemporary ethical issues and how they affect and pertain to the mission of the Baptist church worldwide.

His duties include attending BWA general council meetings during the next five years.
