BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-The deadline for 2006 nominations to the Alabama Men's Hall of Fame is Wednesday, March 15. Nomination forms are available by calling (205) 223 0109 or (205) 726 2349.

Established by the Alabama legislature in 1987, the hall honors Alabama men who have made significant contributions to the state, nation or world. It inducts one or two members each fall. Nominees must have been deceased at least two years.

The Alabama Men's Hall of Fame is displayed in Davis Library at Samford University. The hall is governed by a 14 member board representing Alabama's seven congressional districts. The Birmingham Women's Committee of 100 plans the annual fall induction ceremony.
