Samford's Beeson Divinity School will host the 20th annual Beeson Pastors School July 23-27. Pastors and their families will be equipped and renewed with this year's conference theme, "Proclaiming the Mystery."

About 450 participants attend the event representing a variety of denominations and locations throughout the U.S. and abroad. Registration is still open.

Daily workshops led by special guests, Beeson faculty and Christian leaders will center on topics of Bible and theology, Christian living and spirituality, ministry and leadership, and preaching and worship.

Richard Bewes, Rector of All Souls Church, London, England, will be the daily Bible teacher. Cliff Barrows, longtime music and program director for Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, will lead worship sessions.

Featured preachers for evening sessions are Bryan Chapell, president of Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., Monday; Jim Garlow, lead pastor of Skyline Church, San Diego, Calif., Tuesday; Calvin Miller, Beeson professor of research and distinguished writer in residence, Wednesday; and James Earl Massey, Anderson University School of Theology Dean Emeritus and distinguished professor-at-large, Thursday.

Workshops especially designed for women will be led by Vickie Gaston, the Advent Prayer Ministry coordinator in Birmingham. Author Denise George will speak from her book "God's Gentle Whisper: Developing a Responsive Heart to God." The women's track, A Drink from the Spring, will focus on prayer.

Special programs are available for children from sixth through twelfth grades. Childcare is offered for those lodging on campus.

A pre-conference seminar, Reexamining the Gospel of Grace, will be led by teacher and writer Fran Sciacca on Monday, July 23. Separate registration and fee are required.

Registration, which includes meals and lodging on Samford's campus, is $250 for pastors, $100 for spouses and $100 for each child. Lodging is also available off campus for $115 for pastors, $70 for spouses and $70 for each child. Off campus lodging does not include meals.
