The Shades Valley YMCA will offer evening childcare on a "Drop & Go" basis for youngsters of Samford University students and faculty, beginning January 5.

Students enrolled in Samford evening undergraduate and graduate programs and Samford After Sundown non-credit courses, as well as instructors, can drop off children, ages 6 weeks to 7 years for care 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Fees range from $10 to $15 for one child, depending on length of stay, plus extra per additional child.

Participants do not have to be a YMCA member to use the service.

Parents must complete a registration form in advance and show Samford identification. Forms may be picked up at the Shades Valley YMCA, 3551 Montgomery Highway, or the Samford Metro Programs office in Dwight Beeson Hall at Samford. For information, call the YMCA at (205) 870-9622.
