Samford's Department of Theatre and Dance will present the play We Happy Few Oct. 8–10, 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 11, 2:30 p.m. in Harrison Theatre.

The play, by Imogen Stubbs, follows a seven-woman amateur theatrical troupe through British schools and village greens during World War II. The group experiences both disaster and triumph but, above all, the show must go on.

We Happy Few is frequently hilarious, often touching, and features the laughter-through-tears spirit in which the British specialize.
