Posted by Sean Flynt on 2012-04-03Samford University's Davis Architects Guest Artists Series, with sponsorship by Dr. Chandler Smith and Jane Paris Smith, will present the duo of Jon Manasse, clarinet, and Jon Nakamatsu, piano, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Samford's Brock Recital Hall.
The artists were already celebrated individually before they combined for a critically acclaimed 2004 performance. In addition to their extensive performance schedules, Manasse served as the principal clarinetist of The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Nakamatsu was the Gold Medalist of the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Together, they have delighted audiences at some of the nation's most prestigious venues and series.
