Samford University will delay opening until 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13. The university's emergency response team will continue to monitor weather forecasts and road conditions throughout the night and early morning. Students and employees should check official university communication outlets -- website, social media, RAVE alerts and weather hotline (205-726-4636) -- as well as local media outlets for any updates.

All facilities personnel should report at 9 a.m.

The university's dining hall will open for breakfast at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Students and employees who drive to campus should use caution and monitor road condition through ALDOT and local media outlets. If you believe you are in an area where travel is unsafe and you will not be on campus, you should contact your professor or supervisor.
