Samford Alumni Association Hosting Tailgate Before Saturday’s Game at Mississippi State
All Samford University fans are invited to tailgate with the Samford Alumni Association before the Samford Bulldogs take on Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, Saturday, Oct. 29.
Tailgating will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the “Old Intramural Fields” on Mississippi State’s campus, located in close proximity to Davis Wade Stadium.
Samford’s football team enters the game ranked 19th in national FCS polls after last Saturday’s victory over Western Carolina University, but this week may prove the most challenging yet as it takes on Southeastern Conference opponent Mississippi State.
Samford’s 6-1 record is the team’s best start to a season since 1992.
Tailgating costs $10 per person, which includes a catered lunch from Little Dooey, a local barbecue restaurant. Children 6 years and under can enjoy lunch for free.
Register online for Samford’s tailgate.
The game kick offs at 2:30 p.m. in Davis Wade Stadium. Section 24 has been reserved as the visiting team’s section. Tickets can be purchased through Mississippi State athletics’ ticket office. Though the website may show that the section is sold out, Mississippi State has informed us that it will release more tickets in that section this week.
Mississippi State has implemented a clear bag policy for football games.
