FCS Story
Samford University will play the first game of all 2019 college football at the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff game. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN in Montgomery, Alabama, Aug. 24.
 
The Bulldogs will kick off against Youngstown State at 2 p.m. at the historic Cramton Bowl.
 
To celebrate the game, Samford will host opportunities for fans to gather in Montgomery on game day.
 
The university will host an indoor barbecue for alumni, families and fans in the municipal building connected to the Cramton Bowl. Tickets to the barbecue can be purchased individually for $20 or bundled with the game ticket for $40. Children under 2 are welcome to the barbecue for free. 
 
In addition to the barbecue lunch, Samford welcomes all to the outdoor FanFest in the Cramton Bowl parking Lot K. The free event will include a live band, kids inflatables, and concession stands to purchase food & drinks.
 
The FCS Kickoff is in its sixth year overall. The 2019 Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff will be the fifth meeting between Samford and Youngstown State.
