The Samford University Alumni Association and the Office of Donor Engagement are partnering to relaunch the Class Agents program. This program is designed for alumni to represent their class, work with classmates to ensure they receive updates from the university and encourage them to support Samford philanthropically.
Class agents will represent fellow alumni from their graduation year, providing an avenue for them to connect more deeply with their alma mater. They will help amplify news around Homecoming, Step Sing, and opportunities to give towards areas of campus that alumni are passionate about supporting.
“The Class Agent Program is a formalized vehicle to encourage community to take place throughout graduating classes and the institution,” said Casey Ramey, executive director of alumni engagement initiatives.
Lee Dymond ’92 currently serves as the vice president of development of the Samford University Alumni Association’s Executive Council. He noted that the peer-to-peer connections made through programs like this one make for not only a strong alumni network, but a strong Samford.
Applications for new class agents are scheduled to open in July.
“The Class Agents Program will encourage opportunities for alumni to participate in activities on campus and help them stay involved,” Dymond said. “It is important for alumni to stay connected with their classmates, and this program provides an opportunity to do so.”
