He also exemplifies the qualities of so many of the competent, caring members of our faculty by exceeding expectations in serving the needs of his students.  A few days ago I heard from the parents of one of Dr. Ballman’s students, expressing this sentiment:  “We could not be more proud of our daughter’s success at Samford, enabled by professors specifically like Dr. Ballman.”  The message from the parents explained that, regardless of the circumstances, he always makes time to provide assistance.  The icing on the cake is a recent journal article, co-authored by their daughter, along with Dr. Ballman. 

The world is better because of Chris Ballman and hundreds of members of the Samford faculty.
