Jessie Gordon, a May 2009 family studies graduate, works as a child life specialist at Hands of Hope, a pediatric division of Hospice Care of South Carolina. In this role, Jessie journeys with families as they learn to cope with a child’s life-threatening condition. Oftentimes, she works with families through the bereavement process. She says her team realizes that while they cannot change the final outcome for families, they can impact what the journey looks like.

The world is better because Jessie Gordon provides hope for hurting families.
