Pharmacy is one of the fastest growing health care fields in the world. With this growing trend, pharmacy technicians are in high demand according to many sources, including the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. Samford’s Office of Professional Studies and McWhorter School of Pharmacy are now offering a pharmacy technician education program that you can complete in just 8 weeks.
This program is taught by faculty from the well-respected McWhorter School of Pharmacy at Samford University and is delivered in a new convenient online format. A certificate of completion will be offered to students who successfully complete all requirements of the course and pass a comprehensive final examination.
This online certificate program will prepare students to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination and is structured to address the main domains of the examination. Opportunities for face-to-face or web-based interaction with program faculty will be offered on a regular weekly basis throughout the program to ensure students receive the support they need.
