Organization: Alabama PossibleLiz is very excited to be a member of the first Micah Fellows cohort. Liz graduated from high school with highest honors, served on student council, participated in high school mock trial and multiple sports, and led a girls’ small group for two years. She spent her senior year as a volunteer at Downtown Academy, a faith-based elementary school for inner city children, and was nominated for the Junior League of Athens Teen Volunteer of the Year Award for her service. At Samford, Liz was named to the Dean’s List for Fall 2016 and is a member of the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, the Micah Fellows Recruitment Council, and Freshman Forum. Liz served as the Director of External Affairs for Samford Gives Back 2017, as well as a tax preparation volunteer for Impact Alabama’s SaveFirst program. As a Human Development and Family Science major, Liz hopes to work with foster and adoptive families through counseling after college.
