Before coming to Samford, Ashlyn graduated in the top 1% of her class from J.J. Pearce High School. Ashlyn was a Senior Drum Major of her 6A band, two year trombone section leader and primary trombone in the Wind Ensemble. She is an AP Scholar with distinction, Service Learning Medal recipient, Certified EKG Technician and Certified Patient Care Technician. Ashlyn enjoyed serving in the kids ministry at her church and as a summer missionary at Camp Barnabas, a camp for individuals with special needs. At Samford, Ashlyn plans to study Health Sciences with a concentration in Disability Studies. She plans to become a Pediatric Physician's Assistant and to work with kids with special needs.
