Hometown: Macon, GeorgiaIn high school, Emily was a National Merit Scholar, the valedictorian of her graduating class, and STAR student of Bibb County, GA. At Samford, she has enjoyed getting involved with the prospective and new student experience as the President of the Samford Recruitment Team and a student coordinator for Connections Weekend. She also serves on the ministry team for Reformed University Fellowship and has loved her time as a volunteer at the local nonprofit, Oak Tree Ministries. Emily is also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Tau Delta, and Eta Sigma Phi honor societies, and studied classical reception theory as an Alabama Power Foundation research fellow in 2016 and 2017. After graduation, Emily hopes to pursue a career in higher education.
